Thanks Unfortunately I no longer have the installer for this version. There have been 2 rare updates since I got this bug but none of them have fixed it.

Hello, Since the update to 17.0.0 of VMware workstation the bios and boot menu became extremely slow. The problem only occurs when I activate 3D acceleration. Sometime it does and sometime it doesn't and I can't find the source of the problem. I have this problem on all my VMs and 2 computers.   I've tried recording even if it's not very visible, but I'm spamming the direction buttons in the bios and the bios reacts very badly with 3D acceleration : Video    If anyone has a solution, thank you very much.

I finally found a solution! 1.Uninstall "VMware tool" from the control panel. 2.Log on to this link: Here  Click on your number of bits at the bottom, then on the file with the white icon. Then start the download. 3.Now install it (The icon will not be the same as the last version) As soon as you are asked to restart, restart. 4.Now the VM has restarted go to Windows games. Check if any text appears. 5.Now try the "Windows Experience Index" test. It may make an error on your first try. Run the test again, and it should work.   Normally the problem is solved. How does it work? I switched to an older version of VMware tool. This is the most recent version without this bug.   If the problem is still present. Repeat the steps.

There is a strange thing happening with some of my Windows Vista VMs. The Windows Experience Index test doesn't work anymore. It gets stuck on the Aero evaluation or it displays an error message. I need to do this step to make some test on software And there is also another strange event: The integrated games don't display the texts anymore. These two events always happen at the same time. I think it has to do with VMware tools. If anyone has a solution, thank you in advance.

Finally I deleted a line in the configuration file "sound.virtualDev = "hdaudio" This seems to have fixed the problem. Sometimes the problem comes back but I think it's because of the lag of the virtual machine. Thanks for your help. If the solution doesn't work anymore I will come back to you.

Hello, I have a problem with the sound on a Windows Vista virtual machine. The sound sizzles or crackles and it is not clear. I found this article: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2012007 I followed the proposed method. It corrects the sound a bit, but the problem persists. As a result, the sound is not very pleasant to hear. If someone knows how to fix the problem, I'm very interested. thank you
