Thank you for your note. I am very familiar with the referenced article, and with this feature. I have been using Workstation Pro ssince it was first introduced. The problem exists for any copied item - test or pictures. The problem experienced most recently is with one sentencee of text.

I now have this problem in VMWare Workstation 16 Pro, but it recently started without any obvioius trigger. Enviiornment: Host and Guest are both Windows 10 21H1 Build 19043.1237 VMWare Workstation 16 Pro 16.1.2 Build 179966106 Guest is encrypted I checked the Guest Isolation checkbox settings in the GUI and they are correct. I cannot verify the contents of the VMX file since it is encrypted/ Repair/Reinstall Tools did not solve problem. Repair/Reinstall Workstastion 16 PRo did not solve the problem.

Why does VMWare abandon its loyal users by refusing to offer the one year support options to existing users, and only offer it with new license purchases? I chatted with two reps on the online chat and was told that per incident support for broken systems was the only support option available.
