I can and others will be able too also, I made that caveat clear in my posts. VMWare provided a method a couple releases back to encrypt while still allow editing the configuration file, unfortunately older encrypted VMs don’t have that recourse. I got hit by this scenario earlier, not fun, fortunately not this time.

I am able to edit my config file using current method of encrypting VM file.

So am I on the wrong version of VMware Tools 12.1.0 for running Fusion 13? I am currently trying to update the tools again.

Windows finally includes an error code with the message, Install error - 0x80070103. I have only seen drivers offered this way a couple of times, but it isn't the first time. I just checked and it still won't properly install and load. I reinstalled the VMware tools set on 18 Nov after installing Fusion 13, there is as far as I know no new version of tools to apply.
This is the update; VMware, Inc. - Net - 1.9.11.0 (20) Installed is VMware, Inc. - Net - 1.9.9.0 Windows Update message says "Attention Needed!" If I press Retry it try and fails repeatedly.

Windows 11 update has offered a VMware network driver update, but it now is showing an error after I tried to install it. When I look in update history it shows as installed, but it remains in the main update list, now with an error symbol. Additionally the network card still shows that an older driver is installed. Any suggestion on what to do?

I can verify the Fusion update has started acting as expected since I first tried.

Transitioned from most recent E.X.P version to v13.0 on Intel i7 Mac running MacOS 13.0.1  First had to reregister for a new license key. ( older v12 did not work any longer).  during installation put in key and accepted, later on first run, received invalid license message, re input my new key all then good. manually deleted separate E.X.P. Install afterwards, no issues. At first run I was presented with window to create a new VM, my two existing VMs were not listed in library. I tried creating from existing, but that was not a viable option. Found if I just double clicked the existing VM files they started and where added to library just fine. VMware tools is still a 12 version, tried reinstalling to update, but still 12.6 I seem to recall. VMware Fusion update still returns odd, no product found message. hope this helps someone out.
Does the update process for the experimental 22H2 version bypass the Check for Update in the menu? I would expect to see it returning no update available, but didn't expect Product Not Found.

I too have trouble seeing things here, I first see a page briefly, then it switches and becomes a blank black page with an X to close it and both a left and right scroll arrow, that are dimmed out. I am using Safari as a browser.  I was finally able to quickly click on the download link button before it switched to the black presentation page. There were about five pages of info in a slide show style. Maybe this plug in is what is not working correctly. The page that described 12.2.4 changes, only said general improvements.
Keychron is sending me a new motherboard, hopefully with the latest firmware and that will resolve my issue. Thanks for offering your input.

I have a Keychron K14 keyboard that has both a Win and Mac/iOS mode. The instructions for flashing the keyboard firmware tell you to use the supplied USB cable and ensure you are using the correct mode setting on the keyboard, else it will be non op. My question arrises because I have not been able to successfully flash the keyboard using the MacOS version of the utility, hopefully the Windows version performs better. I would like to attempt flashing the keyboard from a Windows 11 VM on my Mac, so should I set the Keyboard to Windows or Mac mode in this scenario?  I do not know if the Windows VM hands off the USB to the Mac to control, or directly controls it same as a PC would. Thank you.  Bill Smith

The following is copied from the VMware Fusion 12 documents. (In supported bluetooth devices, game controllers are not mentioned whatsoever}. I don't have the answer why not, but I want it to work also. {Fusion has the following limitations for Bluetooth support: Only out going connections are allowed. A virtual machine may establish a connection to a remote Bluetooth device, but remote devices do not see services that virtual machines try to advertise. Virtual machines cannot change the name, class, or discoverability of the host's Bluetooth adapter. The host is exclusively in control over setting whether other Bluetooth devices can discover the host, and what name is used. The host is exclusively in control of the pairing process and collecting or displaying PIN numbers. The guest may scan for devices, and initiate a connection with any device. If pairing is required, the pairing dialog box appears on the host, not in the guest. From the guest's perspective, the device appears to pair without having needed a PIN. Any vendor-specific capabilities on the host's Bluetooth radio are not passed through to the guest. For example, some radios provide a vendor-specific command to change their BDADDR. These commands do not appear in the guest. The guest sees a generic VMware-brand radio. The virtual Bluetooth controller itself is not part of snapshots. During snapshots, it is disconnected and reconnected. Any ongoing connections with Bluetooth devices are terminated at the time of a snapshot.}

I believe it had to do with MacOS (Host) which controls the Bluetooth, only sharing a one direction communication to the Bluetooth device of the Guest. Xbox controller's wants a bidirectional connection. The devices supported like mice, keyboards, headphones send data either only in, or only out.  A USB connected Xbox controller will work.
