SOLVED!   I got it! The problem was the VM runned in the background but the VMware interface doesnt showed it!   For other guys with the same problem: 1. go into the terminal 2. STOP it smoothly! --> vmrun stop yourpath/yourvm.vmx

Hi Guys,   unfortunately I accidentally closed the VM without turning off the OS (Windows 10) on an Ubuntu machine. Does anyone have any idea how I can solve the problem? I always get Unable to change virtual machine power state: Failed to power on '/home/odd/myname/vmware/Windwos 10 x64/Windows 10 x64.vmx'.     Thx!    Greets from Austria
