Thought the upgrade comes with 30 days support?

Twice I have attempted to create a support request about the poor performance of Workstation 16.1.2 and after submitting the form I end up on a page that says "you have no permission to view this page" That is the only that is on the entire page.  The support request is never created.   Anyway, since upgrading from 14.7.something I have experienced a significant reduction in usability of the Win 7 guest using Autodesk software. Everything Vmware seems to be soo slow, switching the full screen takes a long time during which the guest window switches between all black to the app in various stages of progress towards full screen, when it is finallly done the app window is at 50% of full screen. Made about 6 attempts to enter Unity, and 5 times it never happened. The 1 time it worked, the bottom edge of the screen was cut off by the taskbar of the host. My 3D mouse (3Dconnexion) works intermittently. So far the upgrade has been disappointing.   Any suggestions for improvement?
@ VMware I am using 14 latest version. On behalf of all others users on this version can we ask for a courtesy upgrade?

Mikero First a little detour as illustration. I let a $6,000 seat of Autodesk Inventor lapse, because old bugs were mostly not fixed and they expected me to pay annual subscription fees for a new set of bugs. Paying for Workstation Pro allows me to keep using Autodesk Inventor on a Win7 guest. Earlier this year I had similar misgivings about Workstation Pro license when I noted VMware was pushing me to upgrade to 15, while I had a long list things that weren't working right on 14. Attempting to get help from WMware resulted in absolutely nothing. At that point I noticed the similarities between Autodesk and VMware, decided that in principle I would not upgrade to 15 as I wasn't confident that a new version would fix my problems. Now there is a similar dilemma, as I am being forced to upgrade, however I do not know when the next Windows 10 update will kill the new Workstation Pro, right? That makes me wonder if I should go Virtualbox right away. Money I spend on software comes out of my own pocket, so I am more sensitive to all these recurring costs. However, as you have noticed my sentiment is also expressed by some of your large clients. Your subscription model is undermined by Microsoft's upgrades. From my own experience it is easy to loose clients, and very difficult to get them back. The solution is two-fold. Hold on to existing clients as much as you can by offering an incentive to stay. Assuming VMware is a Microsoft Gold Partner, then the second approach needs to be to determine a joint strategy with other gold partners and work on a long term strategy. Same issue here. I am on 14.1.7. The updates from Microsoft were forced on me. Workstation was not useable. Clicking on the WMware note left me with only one option..... to uninstall Workstation Pro and install Workstation Player. Potentially hours of work, when I got work to do. Two updates got installed October 10: Security Update KB4521863, which I left in place Update for Microsoft Windows KB4515384, which I uninstalled. After a reboot, Workstation Pro now opens again and seems to be working. However, in Installed Updates I cannot see that KB4515384 is uninstalled. These updates from Microsoft are turning into an epic cluster ef. So far I have lost a perfect (but older) mobile workstation with 3D modeling software by Autdesk, which lost its 3 monitor capability. And today, in principle I lost Workstation Pro 14.X. For now I have regained functionality, so my immediate problem is solved. However, at some point in the future this update will be forced on me, or some other update from Microsoft (new emojis, transparency), you know all these great features we need to do our work. What surprises me about this ordeal is the lack of guidance from VMware about which versions of its products will run on the newest Windows boondoggle. So I like to that from VMware.
Workstation 14.1.7 Tools 10.2.5 Exact same behavior last two versions.
I sent those as a private message a few hours after you posted this message........
I was using an FTP client, that didn't work. Files are up there. Send you a PM

It has been several weeks since someone offered to look at reproducing some of the poor functionality I am seeing. Since I have created a few video clips and come to the realization these files are too large and asked for an alternative means of getting you these files. That was April 14, a good 11 days ago. Is this typical? To add to my list of poor performance issues there are also some outright bugs in Workstation 14.1.7 (I believe). When my software opens a window for instance to edit a text box while in Unity view, it works fine. When I turn off Unity I used that same functionality to edit text in a text box that window is now in no mans land and I cannot get to it. Unless I switch back to Unity view. "Luckily" Unity view is not very reliable so it craps out (turns itself off) after a while. On top of this after a few hours of this the workstation process is using up all available memory things become slow and I need to restart the computer. What is going on here?
I have a few hundred MB of screen recordings to demonstrate. Upload prompt says files are too large

I am a paid user of Workstation and its expense was by far the largest amount paid for software in the last few years. After about a year of use I cannot say that I am happy with my purchase. The only reason I use this software is to let me use an Autodesk product in a Windows 7 guest. Here are my list of observations: performance is not good: everything is slow shared folders is even slower, and ultimately fails to retrieve the file I just clicked on with a message the file is no longer found unity has become unreliable, it just reverts back by itself sometimes I lose windows 7 taskbar in the guest a bluetooth mouse kills the guest, makes it totally unusable the screen flickers dragging it to a different monitor every update from windows I need to fix credential guard because the guest won't start (you need to fix this Microsoft Gold Partner!) how many times does one have to install "tools"? Twice I attempted to post to the forum with real concrete questions, took weeks to get a response from VMware. I stopped paying for Autodesk updates because there was a never ending stream of paid for new versions, introducing new bugs all the time. At the same time bugs in older versions weren't fixed. Everytime I get a notice of a new workstation version I am thinking to myself "why don't you fix  what you have?"
I am on the Windows Insider slow ring, and each time I had to turn off credential guard. Big waste of time.
Updating to the latest version made all removable devices show up again. Crazy!

There are two guests both are W7 32. Only one of the guests has the software on it that I am experiencing this issue with. The other is a throwaway VM in case I need some free-ware application and don't want to risk infection on my work environment. I am using Autodesk Inventor & Vault in the guest. My main workflow is on the host. Since my original post I have moved the Autodesk related files to the guest, which works the way I had hoped the Shared Folders to work. But my main workflow is on the host, so this creates all sorts of problems. Is my tools version the one I need to use?

Workstation 14.1.2 host: Win 10 X64 16 GB with SSD and Hybrid SSD for the data files ==> sharing a folder to guest guest: Win 7 32 9GB memory allocated When I start with a fresh repower of the guest, open my application then navigate to the data folder pretty quick. Once I select the file I want to open things bog down and after 30 seconds it says it cannot find the file. From that point forward everything in the guest is painstakingly slow, and I am forced to restart the guest. Looking for ideas to make the share folders work.
