Not sure if this is your issue, but this worked for me some time ago. https://communities.vmware.com/thread/597337?start=36
The procedure described in post 36 below fixed it for me and others. https://communities.vmware.com/thread/597337?start=36
I second the emotion.   Worked for me too, with SIP enabled.

I think it's likely an Apple Bluetooth problem because I've experienced it outside of Fusion, usually just after my iMac has started up and Fusion has not yet been launched. Fusion is obviously doing something to trigger it though, and some acknowledgement and comment from VMware is overdue.

No joy here with Fusion 10.1.2. Same disconnect / connect problem as before, but also at other random times, especially when starting my iMac. It looks to me more like an Apple problem than a VMware problem, unless there is a VMware background process causing it when Fusion is not running.

I agree it's likely an Apple Bluetooth problem more than a VMware problem. If so, I wish VMware would confirm that, and if they are working with Apple to fix it. I too have experienced it outside of Fusion. Fortunately, in my case, it always reconnects soon after disconnecting, but is annoying.

I recently experienced something like this. A few weeks ago, I couldn't connect to the Internet from a VM. The network adapter was set to Bridged (Autodetect), so I switched to NAT, and it worked again (after ~ 1 minute). This was not universal and only applied to certain VM's. In the last few days, I ran into the same problem of not connecting to the Internet, but switching back to Bridged fixed it. No explanation, except that it worked.

This seems to work here too. Thanks for a very good tip. I'm curious to see VMware's comment on this. Update 3-19: This has so far worked for disconnect/reconnect when suspending a Windows 10 VM. It has not worked for disconnect/reconnect when resuming a Windows 7 VM. Fortunately, it always reconnects for me, so is only an annoyance.

Mike, it turns out the VM name on the toolbar is the default. What happens is that the blank title bar appears until Customize Toolbar is selected, at which point the title bar instantly converts to the toolbar with the VM name on by default. This only happens once. Hope that helps.
Thanks. I've gone with option 1.
How do I know which VM I'm running in Fusion 10? The title bar is blank.
Yasu works well for repairing permissions too, including in High Sierra, and seems to have fixed the internal error issue for me.

Sorry, I didn't notice the original poster was asking about running a macOS 10.13 VM under VMware Fusion before I posted. Perhaps you (or someone) could split this thread into macOS 10.13 "as host" and "as guest" categories, or start two clearly identified threads for these subjects. Perhaps "VMware Fusion for Mac 10.13 High Sierra HOST" and "VMware Fusion for Mac 10.13 High Sierra GUEST". That would save readers time and confusion, which I've experienced in the past myself.

Double-clicking a VM file works, so I was able to do a Help > Collect Support Information in HS, which is attached. However, trying to select the Virtual Machine Library menu item causes an immediate crash of VMware Fusion. The Security & Privacy system pref does not show "System software from developer "_____" was blocked from loading."

I just installed macOS 10.13 for the first time on my iMac (27", late-2013). Now, every time I try to launch VMware Fusion 8.5.8 in macOS 10.13, beta 2, update 1 (HFS+), it begins to launch, then crashes. Is this a known problem? I've read of VMware Fusion users successfully running this version in MacOS 10.13 with AFPS, so didn't expect any issue with HFS+. I'm running it from an external drive via Thunderbolt 2, if that matters. I can provide the error log if it might help. Any similar experience, ideas or solutions? Thanks.
You could go the 5 miles and do the upgrade in the U.S. I don't recall paying more for VMware Fusion in Canada, except maybe a small fee from Cdn$ to US$. If that's the issue, you can keep US$... See more...

No crashes here with 8.5.3, although crashes were only occasional for me.

I can't answer your question except to say that I've experienced the same thing, no new VMware Tools in the last two minor updates. I assume there was nothing to fix in VMware Tools, but it would be interesting to get confirmation of that.

This is known problem, which I have experienced with Windows 8 and 10, remaining unfixed in Fusion 8.1.1. The workaround I found in the forums here is to switch to Full Screen view, then back to Single Window view, which fixes it temporarily. I wish VMware would fix it permanently.
