Just upgraded 2 of my licenses from 16 to 17 and I no longer have access to the licensing section of my account to see my keys. I've followed the KB articles on how to access my keys in customer connect....if your new portal requires a KB article to point out something this basic, maybe it shouldn't have been released? https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2006831?lang=en_US&queryTerm=how%20to%20view%20license%20keys%20in%20my%20vmware I have no sidebar with products\accounts\funds management at all.  I have no "manage licenses" either. When I follow various other links like https://customerconnect.vmware.com/license-management, something flashes, then I receive "we're sorry. Your account doesn't have permission to access this page"  Virtual assistant fails either with an error, "an error has occurred and we cannot process this request right now. what would you like to do?" or "too bad I could not help" after spending 30 minutes with an agent, my chat window closed...at least an email finally showed up with a license key, so I'm able to move forward, but I still can't see my other license keys.
Found the solution here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=231&t=169197 The package  libgtkmm-2.4-1c2a needs to be added.

I recently set up a new Dell e7440 with LinuxMint 17.1 and the Cinnamon desktop.  Everything works great except for one thing. The "File Edit View VM Tabs Help" menu doesn't appear.  Only "File" shows up.  If you mouse over the blank space, the pop menus do appear.  And to the right, all the buttons are displayed correctly. Only Workstation and Player have this issue and only in Cinnamon.  I installed KDE4 and XFCE desktops and the menus appear correctly. Any ideas what I can do here, or where to start looking? Thanks!
A reboot was required. After that, the install proceeded quickly.  Seems that something was hanging around from the VMw Wks 9 install that was causing the install to fail.
Hyper-V is not installed.
After the installation hung the first time (no progress for over an hour), I killed the task. Rerunning the installer now causes the error: "The MSI ':\users\%username%\appdata\local\temp\vmwa... See more...

don't really care about favorites, I just don't want to have to add 20-30 VMs every time I start up.

This is a reoccuring problem.  I have about 30 VMs total.  Some will randomly disappear from the libary the next time Workstation is started.  The ones that do seem to stick around are ones created with 6.5 and 7 It doesn't matter how I add them (drag and drop, file-->open, double-click vmx) or what state they are in (saved or shutdown) It also doesn't matter if they are new VMs created with 9 or 9.0.1 or from 5.5 through 8. The VMs are located in subdirs of D:\VMs and E:\VMs. I have tried making them all favorites also, on the next start of WS, the favorite "star" is gone for all of the VMs. Host is Win7Ult SP1 x64.  I have excluded the VMs folders from my AV program. This issue did not occur with WS 7 or 8. This occurs even when I only run one instance of WS.
It seems a new BIOS update solved the rebooting issue, but VMs still disappear from my library.

Thanks for the response. Boot drive is an SSD and VMware is installed on a RAID 10 volume.  No errors show up for them.
