I'm having an issue trying to install VMware Workstation on my fresh installed Windows 11 22H2. I get the message "Failed to install HCMON drivers". It just hang there. Bios Visualization is enable. System: Gigabyte z390 Aorus Pro WiFi with 128G RAM I tried right click "Run as Administrator", I also tried Elevated CMD prompt command, The windows troubleshooter. None of this worked. It was working under Windows 11 Pro 21H2   Thanks,

Ok, I'm glad to report that I finally nailed it down. For those that may run into the same problem, in my case, it turn out to be my VPN Application. I'm using "IPVanish", once I completely turn it off, I was able to create VM Host without any issues. I get no more Black Screens. Thanks again!!!

Well, I decided to reinstall Windows 10 Pro to test VMware Workstation Pro 14.1.1. Antivirus or Firewalls are not going to be included. The only program that I'm going to install is VMware Workstation Pro 14.1.1. If my test is unsuccessful, I will attach a new set of Logs. Thanks.

Hi There, I still experiencing Black Screen issues when creating a host. I already posted about this a while back. My System: Dell AMD Ryzen 7 1800x Samsung 960 Pro M.2 NVME Radeon RX 580 with latest drivers 17.12.2 VMware Workstation Pro 12.5.8 is working fine.

Sorry for the delay. I just tried to installed Linux Mint and Windows 8 Pro and all I got was the same result, a black screen. I'm running a Dell Ryzen 7 1800 with DDR4 16G Memory and a Radeon™ RX 580 graphics card with 8GB. See attachment for vmware logs. Keep in mind that 12.5.8 run fine with my system. Thanks

I thought that this new update for VMware Workstation 14 was going to fix this issue, but apparently that wasn't the case. I still get a Black Screen when VMware Workstation Pro 14.1.0 run GNS3 VM. I tried different scenarios, I even went form 12.5.8 to 14.1.0 and it still didn't work. Running it in 12.5.8 works!!! Thanks
