I would like to be able to use copy and paste from my OS X 10.11 host to a Ubuntu 12.04 VM (Terminal app) but I cannot get it to work. In the VM settings I am using the Mac keyboard profile, and under VM Settings / Isolation "Enable Copy and Paste" is ticked. If I copy anything to the host clipboard, I cannot paste it into the VM. Where have I gone wrong?

I Have a USB flash drive which is a bootable Linux install. I can boot a PC laptop from this flash drive. Is it possible to import this as a VM in vmware fusion?
