Hi, I have Workstation Pro 16. I have Hyper-V. On Windows 11. Workstation works fine. (With Hyper-V.) My question is, Can I have VMware, Hyper-V and Device Guard/Credential Guard? At the same time? When I enable DG/CG, VMware won't open. The VM's are encrypted and have virtual TPM. They won't open if CG is enabled. I'm using the "Readiness Tool." To enable and disable DG/CG. And Hyper-V. So, can I have all at the same time? And run TPM VM's? Please reply. Thanks

I'm back. I'm using Server 2019 Build 20287. It does say "2004" under Build Info in Windows Update. So it's too old for VMware and Hyper-V? At the same time? And also Device Guard / Credential Guard?

Hi, I have VMware Workstation Pro on Windows Server 2019. I am getting an error that I can't run VMware with Device Guard/Credential Guard. I also have Hyper-V Manager installed. On Server 2019. I've had this problem before and always used the command "bcdedit set hypervisorlaunchtype off." I'm sure that will work again. My question is, when I check the error DG/CG, it gives me a link to VMware saying "Windows 10 20H1 build 19041.264 or newer, upgrade/update to Workstation 15.5.6 or above." I have Server 2019 vNext Insider Preview Build 20282, and Workstation Pro 16.1.0 build-17198959. Also, I have an i7-6700 Skylake. It says anything after Sandy Bridge works. So how do I open VM's with Device Guard/Credential Guard enabled? I'm reading about disabling Hyper-V and VBS. I'd like to keep DG/CG so I can use the security "meets the requirements for standard hardware security" in Windows Defender Security. (Device Security tab.) I'd like to try that. So, can I run VMware with Device Guard/Credential Guard enabled? Please reply. Thanks

So I reset my PC in Recovery and deleted all VM's. Now Windows 8.1 starts and is installing right now. I'll wait to try Fedora. Does anyone know how I can get Fedora to work?

Hi, I have Workstation 15 Pro with Windows 10 Host. Does anyone have problems with Fedora? I installed Fedora fine once, and after rebooting to finish updates, I get a black screen. I deleted .lck and .vmem files but it still doesn't start up. Just more .lck files when I start and a black screen. I've tried uninstalling Workstation, deleting all VM's from folder, and restarting many times. So, does anyone know how I can get Fedora working? Without deleting .lck files? I tried Fedora 29 Live disc, also from the downloader tool, and Beta 30 ISO. Still a black screen. Does anyone else have this problem? Please reply. Thanks
Hi, will I never get this fixed?

Hi, I have Windows 10 Insider Preview Skip Ahead 18860 on VMware Workstation and Windows 10 Pro Host. I'm trying to update to the next Build 18865.1000. After downloading and installing from windows update I reboot and it fails and removes any changes. I can't get the next Build to install. I had this problem on Azure and I just tried over and over again till it worked. I don't have that anymore and would like to know how to Update Insider Builds on VMware. The problem is when it tells me to reboot and then it fails and everything goes back to 18860. Has anyone herd of this problem? Probably an easy question. Please reply. Thanks

I disabled Norton 360 and still no Internet. VMware workstation is "allowed" through the Norton firewall. After running Troubleshooter I get this message: "Local Area Connection does not have a valid IP address". Is that the problem? How should I set the IP Address? My host still has Internet.

Hi it's me again. I made some progress. I changed the Network Adapter to from NAT to Host-Only and got it to find "Unidentified Network". Still no Internet access but a small improvement. Also, I found VMware Workstation Server is "Stopped". Is that the problem? I can get it to start for 60 seconds or so but then it stops again. Here's a screenshot of "Network and Sharing Center"
DHCP is enabled for NAT, and the network adapter is set to "Connect at power on" and "Connected." Here's the screenshots: Any ideas?
Thanks for the reply. I used the Virtual Network Editor and checked and their configured for DHCP and the IP Addresses look correct. Here's a screenshot: Any Ideas?
