Thanks for the information. It is possible that the vmware virtual network adapter send dhcp re-fresh request as a client before the DHCP service ready from the wake up. Would you please try to configure a static IP address to the "Ethernet VMware Network Adapter VMnet8" (192.168.142.1/255.255.255.0 for your case just leave the gateway and DNS blank should be fine), and again try the sleep/wake up action

And it that possible to paste the output of "ipconfig /all" when you hit the issue?

Thanks for reporting this issue. I tried to set the enhanced keyboard setting under options and general set to "Required", and the VM indeed need some wait time (less than 1 min) before the restart action and I have filled an internal bug to track that issue. Thanks again.

I have a Win 10 2004 Host (19041.508) with VMware Workstation 16 installed. I changed the "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options" and select the host to hibernate when press power button. Then I press the host power button to hibernate the windows host and press the power button again to bring it back. However can not reproduce your issue. Would you please have a check if the "Ethernet adapter VMware Network Adapter VMnet1" and "Ethernet adapter VMware Network Adapter VMnet1" can be seen through the "ipconfig /all" output?

Actually VMware Workstation provides the stateless IPv6 configuration to VM and no need to config the gateway. Would you please make sure you can ping "ping6 ipv6.google.com" on your host?
Using WS15.5.6, i can not reproduce your issue on Win Server 2016 with KB4571694 installed. Would you please try to paste the "vmware.log" and the "dmp file" which locate in the VM folder? Thanks

Hi, Pheckphul: We are sorry to brought the issue to you. Is that possible to upgrade your Workstation v12.5.9 to Workstation v15.5.6 on CentOS Host? I tested on my environment and the result shows it works fine if both Client and Server also run with Workstation 15.5.6.
