After upgrading to Workstation 17.5 running on a Windows 11 Lenovo laptop my Windows 10 vms boot and reboot as usual.  However, after updating vmtools to v.12.3.5 the vms will not reboot.  The spinning dots just continue spinning.  Without the updated vmtools the vms reboot in about 2 seconds.  Anyone else observed this behavior?  Any thoughts on resolution? Thanks, mux
I run vm's from a Thunderbolt 4 hub using a SSD USB hard drive and it was painfully slow until I disabled Core Isolation under Device Security. mux

Workstation 17.0.2 running on Widows 11 laptop Behavior occurring when running a Windows 11 Pro vm The Windows 11 vm has a single snapshot named snapshot 1.  The vdmk file name is Windows11Pro-000001.vmdk.  After the last Microsoft update the file name change spontaneously to Windows11Pro-000002.vmdk.  The locked folder also changed from Windows11Pro-000001.vmdk.lck to Windows11Pro-000002.vmdk.lck. Normally, if I create a second snapshot the file name will increment and both Windows11Pro-000001.vmdk and Windows11Pro-000002.vmdk will be there, but I have not seen it increment spontaneously on its own like this, replacing the original file. After this occurred the vm began rebooting very slowly.  I ended up reinstalling the vm. Anyone seen this behavior and know why it is occurring? Thanks, mux
I have had nothing but problems with this one lab, mostly with suspending the guest.  For whatever reason all my single file .vmdk labs run better with less problems. mux
Vdiskmanager worked perfectly. Thanks, mux
