@ChrisSmithIT Got it, I'll forward it to team. Thanks a lot.
My email: zhus@vmware.com Thanks for reporting. I failed to reproduce the flicker issue locally, so the logs or support bundle(better) could be helpful.

Hi all, If you are using multiple displays in full screen mode, could you check the spaces in Mission Control? (Press Ctrl+Up to show Mission Control, then move mouse to the top to show the Desktops) Are there 2 VM spaces in the same display? If yes, it may caused by a known issue that mentioned in Release Notes.  " If you are using multiple displays in Full Screen mode and the external display is unplugged and re-plugged, multiple full screen spaces will be created in the same display The guest OS screen can't be refreshed to the expected screen topology and the user is unable to interact with guest OS using keyboard and mouse after unplugging and re-plugging an external monitor. Workaround: Go back to Single Window mode, then switch to Full Screen again."

Screenshot of Display settings attached for your reference. Could you check your Display settings with it? Are there any differences in the resolution related sections?
It is a known issue on Big Sur 11.0.1.  Thanks for your reporting. A workaround: Go back to Single Window view mode, then enter Full Screen again.
Yeah, it is a known issue. Thank you.
Seems a UI issue on Big Sur, will forward it to development team. Thank for reporting.

Check the Settings -> Display, make sure the checkboxes "Use full resolution for Retina display" and "Automatically adjust user interface size in the virtual machine" are checked. The comboboxes in "Virtual Machine Resolution" section are "Use Fusion Display Preferences" 3. Open VMware Fusion -> Preferences -> Display. In your Display settings, "Stretch the virtual machine in the screen" is selected in "Full Screen" combo box in "Virtual Machine Resolution" section. It locks the topology and resolution of the VM in Full Screen mode. Please select "Resize the virtual machine and the window" or "Use Fusion Display Preferences" here. It will work.

While the "Use All Displays in Full Screen" is selected, the multiple monitors will be used as independent screen in full screen mode. If you get a mirrored display, please check 2 things: 1. Make sure the vmtools has been installed properly. If the guest resolution can be changed automatically with the VM window size, it's ok. 2. Open System Preferences -> Displays -> Arrangement, make sure the "Mirror Displays" checkbox is unchecked.

Hi, sullyinatx I don't have a Kali Linux VM, so I try it in Ubuntu VM in Fusion. Both Option(Alt)+Tab (switch between running apps) and Ctrl+D (bookmarking page) work well. A little bit confused. If the Alt+Tab and Ctrl+D are the shortcuts, why you have to use Cmd+Tab and Cmd+D to do that? On MacBook Pro, it also has a Control key, and the Alt key should be the Option key.

If all the application in you Windows VM have the small font problem, could you try the follow steps? Open Settings -> Display, make sure both the "Use full resolution for Retina display" and "Automatically adjust user interfaces size in the virtual machine" check boxes are checked. If not, check them, then restart the VM. If they are all set up, try to uninstall the VMtools then reinstall it. If only the specific 3rd-party applications have this problem, and others work well, probably because these apps use customized controls. You can try to uncheck the "Use full resolution for Retina display" checkbox. VM will lost some clarity, but the small font could be solved.

Hi Nitin, Yes, it is. It would be better to get the full support bundle. Could you follow the instruction in this KB article and login to the FTP server: Uploading diagnostic information for VMware using FTP . Then create a new folder and upload the support bundle to the folder. After that, please inform us the folder name you've created (Email: zhus@vmware.com). We'll forward it to engineer team for further investigation. Thanks a lot. Regards, Shan
Could you please save the vmware.log after the VM crashes? It can be found in the YourVMName.vmwarevm bundle. Thanks.
