I have noticed this issue, but for a different reason - I had a working Windows 2022 server VM (build 21h?) I build some time back and it booted up fine...I just ran a windows update today (Nov 4th, 22) and now it comes up with the unsupported processor message, so it seems "later" versions of Server 2022 introduce this error.

I have had the same issue (VMWare Workstation 16.2.4 - any new Centos7.9x64 VM I built just hung intermittently - very annoying after several attempts to build some new VM's. Existing VM's seemed to be fine, but they may be 16.x not 16.2.x builds. So, based on some of the info here, I tried building another one using 16.x (not 16.2) compatibility, and so far this has worked fine. All going well so far, so my recomendation is not buuld anythign new on 16.2.x compatinbility - this looks to be broken!

Workstation 16 on Windows 10: I'd like to be able to right-click a set (folder) of VM's and "resume" them or "suspend" them - typically I have 10-16 VM's I want resumed and it's painful having to resume each one individually. Also of note, as that often, when I close WS16 and select "suspend" as an option, WS16 will hang (forever) after a few VM's and need the main app force closed, leaving some VM's crash stopped (this has caused some VM's to be made unusable on a few occasions). Happened in WS15 as well (suspendind said 10-15 VM's)(
