Computer support provider sold me a high spec pc with VMware installed to enable me to use legacy XP software. His 'solution' has never worked succesfully from day one and has caused major problems I never had before with e.g. MS Office 365. He finally admitted the pc he supplied is unstable, has since fled and left me in the lurch big time. Struggled with trying to get VCA 8 and then VCA 7 installed. Tried everything. Was using an perpetual evaluation license for my ESXi 7 host obtained from VMWare Evaluations. Removed that license and used the Evaluation Mode license and it finally worked. Good grief they should document this for sure.

But by restarting those Management services, Our Centreon (Nagios) isn't able anymore to query all the VM's on Network and Memory information. It respond : "CHECK_VMWARE_API.PL CRITICAL - HOST-VM MEM Unknown error" or "CHECK_VMWARE_API.PL CRITICAL - HOST-VM NET Unknown error". Yet the monitoring of the CPU work as intended for example. Have you any idea to deal with ? Our Environement : 2 ESX 6.0.0 in cluster mode (Operation done on the slave one), Centreon 2.7.13, check_vmware_api.pl script to monitor. Thanks.

In my vmware vsphere 6.5 i have installed 3 virtual machine with ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 for DNS, LOG and MRTG. My DNS machine is working fine with 18.04 but the LOG (18.04 Ubunutu OS) and MRTG (20.04 UBUNTU os) freeze continiously like 6-10 hours. When they work they run fanstasticly, but when it freeze then i have to manually reboot every time. Any solutions..? Thanks in advance.
