Subject: Important Note : UDID changes to new Apple Hardware Over the last 48 hours, we’ve received notification and details from Apple around potential changes to UDID of new Apple hardware going forward. Our teams have been working round the clock to evaluate the impact of these changes and explore necessary remediation paths to be compatible with this new hardware. Background of UDID : UDID is an acronym for Unique Device ID that uniquely identifies Apple devices. IMPORTANT NOTE : This unique ID cannot be changed by the user nor by Apple as it is assigned to the motherboard of the device.  So an operating system update will not change the UDID. Historically iOS devices have had UDID of 40 characters in length. We’ve received notification that this length could change in the future to be lesser, greater or equal to 40 and not strictly adhere to the 40 character length. There will be a customer facing public message with appropriate content that we’re allowed to share shortly.

Also related to this From: Kelsey Barber Sent: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 7:46 AM Subject: RE: Instructor Action Required: Update to Exam Enablement Process - Week of March 27 Hi team – Ryan brought up a question regarding exam enablement that I should have clarified in my original message. The Shared Services team performs class closure activities on Friday each week. That means students taking a two-day Configure and Manage course will have to wait until the end of the week to receive the follow up message and exam instructions. Please set this expectation with the students in your classes. Thanks, Kelsey Barber (Bouton) Global Operations Team Lead AirWatch Education Services From: Kelsey Barber Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2017 10:42 AM Subject: Instructor Action Required: Update to Exam Enablement Process - Week of March 27 Hi team, We have good news for instructors! You may be aware that our team has an initiative to move out of myAirWatch over the coming months. Part of this transition includes changing the way students take Accreditation exams. Starting next week, all students (customers, partners, non-associated) will take their exams through myLearn. Exams will be enabled by Shared Services teams in Bangalore/Costa Rica and they will send the follow-up email as part of the class closure process. Process starting week of March 27 1. Instructor submits Class Roster (standard process) 2. Instructor to mark attendance in myLearn at the end of training (standard process) 3. Shared Services will enable the exams for students who completed training (NEW) 4. Shared Services will send the follow-up email from myLearn (NEW) 5. Shared Services will close the class (standard process) Action for Instructors For all classes starting after March 27, do not enable exams for any of your students in AirWatch Salesforce. Note: you are still required to enable exams for the classes that have ended prior to March 24.  Action for VCI program (Andy/Robert/Pavan) Please  contact any active VCIs in your Geo and update them on process. Currently, they submit a ticket to training@air-watch.com to initiate exam enablement and follow-up emails. This action will no longer be required. They only need to submit the roster and mark attendance. Additional Notes for Reference • James will be updating the follow-up emails in myLearn with new instructions for students. o Instructions will include how to access exams and how to “subscribe” to the relevant accreditation plan in myLearn. • James will be updating the instructor handbook with new process. • We will be transferring all customer/internal employee’s active accreditations to myLearn before moving out of myAirWatch. (This requirement is currently being reviewed by the myLearn IT team). o The Ops team will not transfer myLearn accreditations to myAirWatch at the request of customers (as the accreditations will soon be inaccessible via myAW) James and I will keep you updated on relevant information for moving out of myAirWatch (such as timeline, customer communications, reaccreditation in the future, etc). If you have any questions in the meantime, please let us know. Thanks, Kelsey Barber (Bouton) Global Operations Team Lead AirWatch Education Services

FYI (this could be proprietary/NDA information) Had a random conversation with an Atlanta SaaS ops coworker today and he mentioned they aren't adding new SaaS environments with QTS and they have added new environments with AWS and some other international hosting providers.  They tried VCloud Air but didn't get the greatest results so it's not likely new environments would be added there.

In 8.2, users were able use Files/Actions to add files from a content repository to a FTP relay server to then add to their product sets; however, this feature was deprecated with 8.3. With the deprecation of this feature arose the need for an alternate solution to deploy files from content repositories to product sets. The best solution is to add an admin repository to the AirWatch console with authentication using a valid user account. Doing so gives the user access to repository files within the AirWatch environment. With this access the user can download the files within that repository to his/her desktop, and then re-add it to the Product Provisioning section under File/Actions. To learn how to add an admin repository, see page 17 of the VMware AirWatch Mobile Content Management Guide. The support ticket here for reference is 835619.
