In February 2023, I didn't know about UUP Dump (which is a pity) and I signed up for the Microsoft Insiders program, downloading the shared version of Win 11. Initially, it was a simplified version (not DEV) - I don't remember the name. Then the downloaded version required conversion to the WMVare format (vmfs, while the downloaded version was probably vmdk or something - under Hyper-V anyway). After installation, it turned out that some functions did not work, e.g. Microsoft defender, RDP and others. So I downloaded it again - this time in the DEV version and these functions worked. Unfortunately, I could only download it in the ENG language version (MS did not provide any others) and I cannot change it now (unless a clean installation). Now why canary: I launched the environment in the DEV version on February 24, 2023 and noticed that until the beginning of April I did not received even a single Windows update (while on PCs there were 2 updates on the way). So I changed the ver preview Dev Channel to Canary - elevenforum.com/t/change-windows-insider-program-channel-in-windows-11.795/ Since then, there have been updates every now and then.... In addition, Outlook does not work at all time Windows Search function: I've tried everything. Interestingly, Outlook -> options -> search: Outlook is in the list of system options, as is Onenote. If I close this window and open it again but through Windows Settings -> Pivacy -> searching... Outlook is not on the list, same as Onenote, rebuilding the index, advanced options and everything else, including office repair, does not help (I spent hours and read on forms of everything that was). It makes my work very difficult because the only workaround was turning off Windows search through the registry https://winaero.com/a-search-bug-prevents -windows-11-from-indexing-outlook-mail/ but now the search in Oultook takes forever.... I don't know if it's related to the fact that I have the initially downloaded language version of Windows 11 in the ENG version, and I switched to Polish in the settings (because that's the language I use). I hoped that the new versions of Canary would help, because each new version requires a new installation of Windows (windows_old directory is created). But nothing helps. Now when I try to download the ISO from UUP Dump, I can "replace" Windows but only if I lose data, which I do not want to do (re-installation and configuration of all programs takes about 1 day and 1 night). Perhaps the only solution is to download a clean installation immediately in the POL (not ENG) version from UUP Dump and install everything again. As for the BSOD, I changed VMware to Tech previwe, hoping that the BSOD would go away when switching from MS RDP to MacOS. Anyway, thank you for your suggestions, I really like virtual machines, I think it's the future, but I'm just learning this environment. For example, the installation of Win required a bypass via oobe\bypassnro and M Roy showed on YouTube that you can first install VMWare tools (then the Internet is available during Windows installation).
