Time Syncing Clashes with Broadcasting Software in Windows on M2 Mac

I'm running Windows 11 with the tech preview on an M2 MacBook Air. I use broadcasting software called Station Playlist Studio (www.stationplaylist.com) to do Internet broadcasting. If I have the Synchronize Time option checked in Advanced settings for my VM, the clock in Windows begins losing time as soon as I start Station Playlist. By the time an hour has gone by, the clock is around 8 minutes slow. This does not happen if I uncheck the Synchronize Time option. That is a tolerable work-around, but I like the idea of being able to synchronize the Windows and Mac clocks, and if I'm experiencing this issue, it's possible it will happen with other software as well.

Did you disable Windows time sync from within the VM when you have Synchronize Time enabled in the VM's settings?

Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time > Set Time Automatically

If you have the host being synced with a reliable time source (Apple's) , and Windows in the VM is set to its default of Set Time Automatically to sync to a reliable Microsoft source, what's the need to keep the host and the guest synced with one another?

Thanks very much for the information, Paul. I'll try unchecking the automatic time setting and see if things work correctly. The main reason for syncing the two is that when I go to a different time zone, usually Windows continues to show my time zone while the Mac shows the correct one. This can get a bit confusing at times.

I wonder how it interacts with Fusion's services.
