Windows 11 virtual machine crashes when attempting to join a Microsoft Teams video/audio session
Windows 11 x64 ARM virtual machine
MacBook Pro M2 Max 14 inch Sonoma Beta
Whenever attempting to join a Microsoft Teams meeting, either with audio only or with audio & video, VMware Fusion reports that the virtual machine needs to be restarted after encountering an error.

Hmmm. I'm not seeing that on Ventura and Windows 11 ARM 22621.1992, and using a USB webcam configured as a camera device in Fusion. At least I've not seen it when starting a meeting with audio and video).
What Windows build are you using?
You may need to collect a full support bundle and either attach it here or send an email to fusion-beta@vmware.com

Wow Technogeezer, you sure are quick with your support! Thanks so much for your help!
Windows Version 22621.1992.230706-1158 clean installation ISO created from UUP dump
I tried allowing Firewall access (Public and Private) in advance, since just as I was connecting a Windows pop-up appeared asking for permission to access external networks. But even with permissions set before retrying, Teams attempted to connect (Connecting... was displayed when I tried to Join the session) before VMware crashed.
Microsoft Teams Build 1.6.00.19860 ARM 64 17 July 2023
Audio Device was default, Video device was the USB Webcam configured as a camera in Fusion.
I'll go ahead and repeat the error before forwarding an error report if I can (the option to send a report was displayed, along with Ignore, but I haven't tried yet).

Does this happen on a Ventura host?

I now have a problem report that I will forward.
I also tried disconnecting my computer from the external display and joining a Teams meeting using only the built-in screen and microphone / speakers but the system still crashed.
I have a backup of the original Windows x64 ARM installation prior to installing MS Office 365 so I'll try to start again from scratch. Trying to move away from Parallels, at least on my work Bring Your Own Device machine, even if all of my games are crashing in VMware Fusion.

Lately I've found uupdump generated media to be somewhat flaky. Use the instructions and the tools in the Unofficial Guide for Fusion 13 to get a real Microsoft retail channel ESD and convert it to ISO. https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Fusion-Documents/The-Unofficial-Fusion-13-for-Apple-Silicon...
This will work for Fusion 13, and with a little tweaking, can be used for the Tech Preview. I have a fork of the document in the works that'll be published this week specifically for the the Tech Preview.

It could be an issue with the Sonoma beta, hence the question. If you can, try it on a Ventura host.
And a big second on using the utility to get the ISO instead of uuddump - you'll get the latest and greatest build with that. Also, I'd tried upgrading an existing Win11 Fusion 13 VM and had all sorts of issues. Building a new one from scratch solved all of them.
