virtual machine is not taking IP address from DHCP...
Hi guys,
We are using esx architecture. one of the virtual machine is not detecting DHCP while other machines in the same VLAN are getting IP addresses.
Please suggest on how to get it fixed.

There are IP address, available in your DHCP server??
here is the same problem, but there is no IP address available on our DHCP server

I do agree with Joao, check that your DHCP server has fee ip to serve.
Also check that the VM doesn´t have fixed ip configured: won´t be the first time it hapens to me ![]()
Other question i have is: are all VM connected to the same vswitch/portgroup?

Hi,
can you tell us more about the vm? OS/ Network Driver?
Also it his a new VM or Is tis a problem that just happend? Is there sufficient addresses available on the dhcp scope?
