St. Edward's University Professional Education Center in NW Austin is excited to be offering the following VMware Certified Training Courses taught by a VMware licenced Trainer beginning in March 2010.

VMware View4 (Desktop Virtualization) (3 days)

3 Days Overview This hands-on training course builds your skills in the VMware View suite of products: VMware View Manager, VMware View Composer, and VMware ThinApp™

Who Should Attend? System administrators and system integrators experienced with VMware vSphere™ who are responsible for their organization’s deployment of VMware technology for virtual desktop infrastructure.

Virtualization Boot camp = Install & Config + Fast-track (10 days)

Intensive 10 class intended to allow students to become certified and skilled in vSphere installation and administration of a Small business and Enterprise Virtual Server environment. Covers not only Virtual Servers but Desktop Virtualization as well. At the end of 10 days students will be prepared for VCP certification. Includes $175 dollar voucher to take exam and a netbook.

VMware vSphere Fast-track certification program (5 days)

This hands-on training course explores installation, configuration, and management of VMware® vSphere™, which consists of VMware ESXi/ESX™ and VMware vCenter™ Server. Upon completion of this course, you can take the examination to become a VMware Certified Professional. The course is based on ESXi 4.0, ESX 4.0, and vCenter Server 4.0.

Who Should Attend? System administrators, systems engineers, and operators responsible for ESXi, ESX, and/or vCenter Server.

VMware Virtualization Test Prep Class (1 day)

VCP certification preparation for VMware test.

The following two classes are not VMware certified, but are taught by a VMware licensed trainer.

Virtualization introduction and planning (1 day)

Introduction to Virtualization, What is virtualization? Virtualization Products and companies, Virtualization customer use cases, Virtualization vocabulary.
