VCP examination prerequisite

Hi Guys,

I would like to take VCP-DCV 2023 but I dont have VCP certificate on before. I saw I need to attend one training course on VMware before take VMware vSphere 8.x Professional (2V0-21.23). May I know I need to take it on VMware or other education provider e.g. Udemy?

You have to take an official VMware course as listed in the requirements. Udemy or any other 3rd party providers courses do not count towards the class requirements needed for certification.

There’s no such concept of the training being a “pre-requisite” for the Professional exam, literally anyone can take the Professional exam, however the VCP certification has both an authorised training AND exam requirement - you can complete these two requirements in either order.

The only training authorised by VMware are the various courses created by VMware, as listed on this page: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dcv.html
