VLAN 0 Concept.

 

 

 

Dear Team,

When we attach Bridge profile to a segment then why we define VLAN as 0, could someone please explain me the same.

Hi,

VLAN 0 (untagged vlan) is used if you don't want to assign a vlan tag. Untagged vlan (also referred as native vlan) is used by devices for backward compatibility with devices which does not understand 802.1q.
