VMWare beta 6 (Strange Error)
Hi guys I'm Antonio from Italy,
I have a realy BIG ISSUE
there is the screenshot of error: http://img206.imageshack.us/my.php?image=erroreho4.jpg
My CPU is an AMD Athlon X2 3800+
Host OS: Linux Ubuntu 6.10 (guest WIndows XP pro sp2)
I've this problem only with SMP Kernel like 2.6.17-11 generic SMP or the lasp 2.6.20 generic with SMP support
If I start my system with a 386 kernel like 2.6.17-11 i386 without dual core support vmware works great.
Why ?
When VMWare crash the output on terminal is:
Using log file /tmp/vmware-coobox/ui-5141.log

Dlg::GetButtonInfo(): Duplicate GTK icon/label pair: A_vanza and _Avanti
Dlg::GetButtonInfo(): Duplicate GTK icon/label pair: I_nformazioni and Informazioni
PowerOn
Using FBO
LogPanicAndDump: can't get userlevel lock.
