Unable to reencrypt the virtual machine: Disk problem. error upgrading CBC to XTS encryption
Workstation Pro 17.5 Pro.
Windows 11 Pro host and client, both with 23H2 updates.
After selecting to upgrade the encryption, I receive the "Unable to reencrypt the virtual machine: Disk problem" error.
I have sufficient space on both client and host to hold the VM many multiples of times.

Was the VM fully encrypted, partially encrypted, or encrypted with the broken experimental vTPM of Workstation 16.2?
Is the vmdk a single file, or split into multiple files?

I'm unaware of it being partially encrypted. I don't recall what version of Workstation was used to create the original VM, though I do remember having to encrypt it. How can I verify?
The vmdk is a single file. I did configure the vm to use multiple files.
