I have a large VM from vSphere that I want to open using VMWare Workstation Pro 16. The VM is a very old version, more than 10 years ago. This VM is now inactive but I just wanted to see whether it still works. When I opened the VMX, there was no error message. But I noticed the DISK 2 is empty when I opened the settings. I have files numbering from _4, _5, _6, _7, _8 and _9. All the files except "_5" are OK. File "_5" (Disk 2) is the largest file and cannot be opened by the VMWare. I don't know whether this file is corrupted or VMware Workstation Pro 16 file size limit. The documentation mentioned 2TB but is it on a single file? Is there a tool that I can use to verify whether the file is OK (not corrupted)?
