Slow graphics on Windows XP VM On Windows 11 host machine
Host Machine : Windows 11 Pro (22H2), running on Intel 11700k, Asus Prime Z590-A, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB NVME drive.
Guest VM : Windows XP (SP3), VMWare tools version : 10.0.12.
VMWare Workstation Pro version 16.2.5 build-20904516
I recently upgraded my host machine from Windows 10 to Windows 11, copied the Windows XP VM to the new host machine and booting up without problem. Unfortunately, I realized that the graphics very much slower on the VM, dragging and moving a file explorer windows in sluggish to a point that I have to wait for it to stay before next action. The VM was perfectly fine on the Windows 10 host with the VMwareTools installed, tried update the VMWare tools on the XP VM, but nothing improves.
I've spent time to setup another machine with Windows 11 Pro (21H2), installed VMWare Workstation 16.2.5, using the same XP VM, no issue with the graphics performance. Perhaps it could the the issue with Windows 11 Pro 22H2 ?
Could anyone help ? Or is there any VMWareTools that can be updated on the XP VM to correct the graphics issue ?
