Win 11 VM doesn't use full screen (Tools installed)
I run Workstation Pro 16.2.4 build-20089737 on a Dell Precision 5560. I use a Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor for work (5120 x 1440).
Until a few weeks ago, I was using a Win 10 VM. I was able to use my monitor just fine.
Then a created a new VM with Win 11 21H2. Yes, I have VMWare Tools installed.
When I boot up the VM every morning, it defaults to 5114 x 1220 resolution. When I check the display setting in my VM, it doesn't even show me the option for full 5120 x 1440.
Then, I run the VMWareResolution command and manually set it to 5120 x 1440. But it goes away every time I reboot my VM.
And conveniently, 5114 x 1220 is the screen size before I put the VM in full-screen mode. So, it seems like even after going full screen, it remembers the screen size without the full screen (with the menu bar, etc. on top)
As I was planning to insert a batch file to do this at startup by default, I realized that I shouldn't. VMware should help me fix it. So, any suggestions?
