Something to try: I'm on a linux host working with Windows 10 guest. Update to 16.2 broke my VMs (non-functional - needed to kill process). I've found that turning off "Accelerate 3D Graphics" in the VM settings seems to have resolved the issue. For the record, my host display is Nvidia.
