Newbie question about NIC IP's on VM

I've got my VM Server up and running on my XP Prof laptop

My laptop is connected to a network

I want to connect the Windows 2003 server guest OS (hosted on my VM Workstation) to the same network that my laptop is connected to

Can someone pls tel me how to do this pls

Make sure your VM has an ethernet card in it's hardware configuration. Select "bridged" mode for that card's network connection type.

Once you have the virtual network adapter configured for Bridged networting and assuming that you are in a environment that allows you to use the virtual machine in a Bridged configuration. You will just need to configure the guest OS to use DHCP or assign a static IP for the same subnet as the host.
