Workstation 11.x licensing

Hi

I need to run Workstation on a Windows 7 32bit host machine, and as far as I understand 11.x was the last Version that supported this OS.

Workstation versjon 7.0 til 11.0: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2088579

Workstation versjon 12.x til 15.x: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2129859

I can download it from here:

Download VMware Workstation 11.0

This brings me to my actual question: how to License it?

Can I buy a Workstation 15.5 pro License key (for Windows and linux) and it will work on this release?

Is it at all possible to buy it any more?

Thanks

Hi,

However, it is always possible to downgrade:

Hi,

Your answer is for "Guest". from the question it seems that he has to install it as "Host":

hi. I'm looking for win7 32bit as host-OS, not guest-OS.

Thanks.

That's a usefull suggestion.

I Guess I could buy 15.5 key and then downgrade it to 11.x ?

Actually, if you carefully read the first KB article you linked, Workstation 11.x requires a 64-bit host OS.  Workstation 10.x (and Player 6.x) is the latest to support 32-bit OS's.  So you will need to download (and downgrade your license) to 10.x, not 11.x.
