Before asking question i must say that i am a Newbie in networking and hence need help from you guys here. Am having a Windows XP computer at my home. Recently i installed Linux on VMWare to get some experience of this OS as well. Everything working great. But am confused with one thing. I noticed that am getting different IP Address on my XP and LINUX. How is that so?

I had a similar scenario, resolved with using something callled VPN. There are a few VPN services but all have draw backs with being free.
I have found htis one which works perfectly, your ip will show the computer is connected in a different country like Germany.
I'm pretty sure this is for only windows, just google free linux vpn and have a look. The draw back withthis one is that you only are aloud 1gb traffic. Its all secure and virus free, so dont worry.
