[question] can not change IP of vmnet

Hello everyone:

I'm installed workstation 12.5.8 64bit-linux version in the ubuntu 16.04.3 (kernel 4.13.0-17, linux-image-extra-virtual-hwe-16.04-edge), I also download patched vmnet driver source from someone's github:

GitHub - mkubecek/vmware-host-modules: Patches needed to build VMware (Player and Workstation) host ...

vmnet exist (/dev/vmnet0 & 1 & :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: and work fine if you does not change the IP.

for example, vmnet1 setting in /etc/vmware is:

answer VNET_1_DHCP yes

answer VNET_1_DHCP_CFG_HASH 85FDD2B5CC306A70C12C7CF66D6CE20712DF0D77

answer VNET_1_HOSTONLY_NETMASK 255.255.255.0

answer VNET_1_HOSTONLY_SUBNET 192.168.190.0

answer VNET_1_VIRTUAL_ADAPTER yes

When I change the IP using GUI VM network manager, it works, but not work at next boot, and can not restart the service "vmware".

When I changed to original IP (from installer assign), it work again.

Does had other way to restart VM network service to make vmnet work with changed IP?

thanks.

CPU: AMD ryzen 1700x, Board: ASUS B350plus. security-boot can not disable...
