Change of MDM
Hi All,
I don't think it's possible but are you able to remove a device from WS One without the device factory resetting.
We need to move a large volume of devices to SOTI and I'm hoping I can enroll the device in soti while also being enrolled in WS One. Then unenroll from WS One.
Probably not possible but thought I'd check
Cheers

Hello,
Basically, no, you cannot enroll a device in more than one MDM at a time.

What kinds of devices? Just mobile devices from Apple or Android, or also computers and other devices?

Samsung galaxies only.
If I could unenroll devices without a factory reset I could potentially work around that
But I'll probably just have hardware returned and redeploy.

Android and Apple devices require resets to be fully enrolled in a new MDM solution. This removes any previous MDM system that was controlling the device before.

Well, this depends on you method of management. If you are in COPE or Work Profile mode, I guess you should be able to perform an Enterprise wipe without factory reset. This will unenroll the device and wipe all enterprise managed things but will keep all personal part off the device.
But If you are in Work Managed Mode, then I don't think you can do without Device Wipe command that will factory reset the smartphone.
You should validate this on a test device.

Hi,
Have you reviewed EXODUS? https://www.unisys.com/solutions/modern-device-management/exodus/#deviceAndProgramMigration
Exodus is a tool to migrate devices from one EMM solution to another.
If I am not mistaken, it is necessary that the management of the devices to be migrated is complete, i.e. it is not valid for BYOD devices.
Regards.
