workstation pro 17.0.2 running on linux pop os - unable to install vmmon or vmnet moduels

host is linux 6.5.4-76060504 generic pop os 22.04 LTS  64 bit  Can't seem to update to work.

I ended up finding that VMware did a patched released last night 17.5.0 that fixed the issue.  I ended up removing and doing a clean install and everything is back up and working good.
