Hi,
I am not able to get the VDM client to open an connection to a virtual machine.
It gives the error "The desktop failed to open. This desktop is currently not available. Please try connecting to this desktop again later, or contact your system administrator."
The VDM agent is running on the desktop and I am able to connect to directly with RDP.
In the VDM Connector Server Event log there are the following events :

I'm not sure why this happens, any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks

Are your trying to access it from a client that has a proxy set?

looking closer at the error I do not think the proxyon the client is your issue. It looks like the VDM server thinks no desktops are availalable. Does your VDM server show there are available desktops? Also have you tried restarting the VDM agent?

I was already logged into the console of the VM assigned to that user, so VDM said it was unavailable, even though in the admin UI it didn't list any active sessions.

This happens today beacuse typically a user will not have access to the VIC console. The VDM agent does report a console sesion being active. The VDM connection fails becuase RDC would need to log off the current user. Which mostlikely woul be an admin in this case.

I'm getting this same thing, i'm testing one VM and i am able to connect to it, when i have someone else try who is a entitled user for that VM, the connection fails, this is one VM in a persisteenr desktop pool.
Is there any news on this on how to fix this problem ?
This is a slightly different issue, once a user has logged in to a VM in a persistent pool, the VM is then exclusively assigned to that user. Since you have only one VM in the pool, and it's exclusive to your first user, the second user will not be able to connect to the desktop as there are no VMs in the pool free.

I know its been a couple of month's since the last post, but I have a question on this topic. Can multiple users connect to the same Desktop source (VM)? If so, how can can the pool or desktop source be configured? Thanks.
