Blue screen when updating to 2309

Windows 10. Got a notification that a new version of VMware Horizon Viewer was available, started the update after I finished my work in the VDI, and I got a BSOD a few moments later. I though it was related to the Teams call I was doing at that point, because it happened just as I was removing the cover for my laptop's camera. After system restarted, I got a screen from Horizon about the update, agreed to it and started re-opening my programs but a few moments later I got another BSOD. On the next restart I waited before accepting the update, until after I finished my Teams call, and then accepted the update to check if the BSOD's were caused by it and as you can guess I got a BSOD. Next time PC started I ignored the Horizon update window, and restarted the laptop after Skype updated. When it booted again I didn't get any update dialog from Horizon, and trying to start Horizon just fails with no indication.

From Event Viewer Application (triggered when trying to start Horizon Viewer after the last restart):
06/11/2023 20:1X:XX (message is the same each time):

I plan on uninstalling the client and trying to install it again afterwards.

Additionally in "Programs and Features" there are two version of "VMWare Horizon Client", and trying to uninstall the newer one (8.11) fails with error "Install Failed" and "The product must be installed first before attempting to make changes with the installer".

After uninstalling the previous version and manually downloading the installer for the newer version, installation was successful without any BSOD.

Same Issue here on some clients but the old version cannot be uninstalled. It fails with error 2324
