Support for DirectX 11
The current version of VMWare Fusion supports DirectX 9 when enabling accelerated graphics: http://pubs.vmware.com/fusion-7/index.jsp#com.vmware.fusion.help.doc/GUID-B9315DCC-437D-4373-BD71-09...
Are there plans to support DirectX 11 in a future release?

VMWare generally doesn't comment on future plans.

Looks like vmware 8 will be announced later this summer, I'll be keeping a close eye on it.
From a quick glance, the competitor parallels 11 doesn't support directX11.
As an owner of a vmware 3, 4 and 5 license, having skipped vmware 6 + 7 because the features were mostly limited to "its x% faster" and "y% less battery" and more of that ( yeah right ) I actually do make statements about my future plan: If vmware 8 supports directX11 and OpenGL > 3.3 ( preferably 4) I will buy - and no-buy if it doesn't ^^.
I do have to admit I'm kind of curious curious how many % faster the marketing department is going to make vmware 8 - and who knows, maybe that version will increase battery life beyond the actual capacity of the battery too :smileydevil:

Fusion 8 has DX 10 support.
You must still be running an old version of OSX then - be careful, there's a lots of vulnerabilities in those old versions.
