Tony, you are welcome and glad you were able to get this fixed.

The real problem is that VMware made it harder than it had to be. The documented procedure for installing VMware Tools by using the Fusion menu Virtual Machine -> Install VMware Tools should have mounted the correct ISO. But Fusion 13 has a bug that doesn't select the right iso file for older operating systems. The bug appears to be fixed in the Fusion 2023 Tech Preview, and should be fixed for good in the next Fusion release (fingers crossed).
