Hi everyone!
I'm new in ThinApp environment, hopefully somebody can help me with a headache ThinApping Lotus Notes 9.0, here is my scenario:
ThinApping App: Lotus Notes 9.0
Capture Machine: Windows 7 x64 on VMware Workstation 10.0.2
Test Machine: Windows 7 x64 on VMware Workstation 10.0.2
After building the project and testing the thinapped app it works fine until opening any attached PDF file which brings freezing of Lotus Notes 9.0 and adobe reader (XI) both apps respond until killing adobe reader process "AcroRd32.exe"
I have tried capturing app in WriteCopy and Merged mode, capture machine whitin and outside domain, capture machine with local admin account, capture machine with domain admin account but in all scenarios the result is the same, does anybody know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Try adding the following lines under the [BuildOptions] section in the package.ini:
ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions=AcroRd32.exe
ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault=Virtual
Delete the sandbox, recompile and test again!

Hello,
I already tried adding both lines under [Build Options] section in the package.ini, testing the ThinApped Lotus again I found that at the moment of opening an attached PDF file it doesn't freeze anymore but the document is not displayed, it shows the message error "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found"
Any idea about what's happening?
Thanks

I thought Lotus would extract the pdf attachment to the %temp% folder before opening it but it doesn't seem to be the case.The above lines run the Adobe Reader process natively not virtually so its process is not being able to access content in the virtual bubble (that why you have this error message with Adobe Reader).
Try the following:
-Remove the sandbox
-Remove these lines from the package.ini:
ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions=AcroRd32.exe
ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault=Virtual
-Recompile the application (build.bat)
-Open Adobe Reader
-Go to Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced)
-Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"

-Click OK
-Close Adobe Reader
-Try again to open a PDF attachment with Lotus notes!
