UNC path containing spaces no supported ?

Hi,

I try to link 2 ThinApp package together using the settings RequiredAppLink. The 2 packages are stored on a network share.

e.g.

thinapp\repository\Application 1.exe

thinapp\repository\Application 2.exe

RequireAppLink doesn't seem to work (no error/warning reported), might it be a "spaced path" related problem ?

I problably misunderstand how RequireAppLink works, could you please give some help ?

Regards,

Sam

If you use RequiredAppLink and linking would fail, you would get an error.

In documentation it's also said that you cannot import shortcuts, you can only import the primary data container, maybe that's your case.

Have a look at the documentation and if everything fails, try to LogMonitor your ThinApp.

Thanks for your answer, it seems to work much better !

Documentation says: "Sandbox changes from linked packages are not visible to the parent executable file." Is it possible to see theses changes ? I played with isolation modes but nothing seems to change.

My application 2 requires Outlook to send email through MAPI. When I try to use application 2 email features, I get a message "no profiles have been created. to create a new profile use the mail icon in the control panel". When I run Outlook (thinapp), profile has already been created. So Outlook sandbox contains the profile but application 2 isn't able to access it !

Thanks in advance...

Sentece that you posted means that parent application are not able to see changes in linked (child) application. It means that parent application are not able to access directly registries or files in sandbox of its child linked applications. But it doesn't mean, that child linked application work without its sandbox. It reads and writes to its sandbox like any other application.

Just a dump question, does it work without virtualization?

What if you do not do linked applications, but make one ThinApp package where you will capture your application and also Outlook?

PS: IMHO, this should be separate threat in this forum. Just close this one as Solved and open new one Smiley Happy

Thank you,
