naming connotation
Can someone tell me what the naming connotation is for patches, for example: ESXe350-200810401-O-UG.zip Obviously, ESXe350 I know as well as for 2008, but what are the numbers afterward (a date?, update issue number?). I am aware of the letters as well, but what does UG,BG,SG, etc mean?
I know this may be a silly questions but just trying to breakdown the naming convention for clarity and organization of my patch folder.
TIA

In the ESX Server 3 Patch Management Guide there is on pages 8-10 an explanation of the patch naming convention.
In the ESX 4 Patch Management Guide this explanation seems ot have disappeared
