migrate a DC with VM conterver tool

hi,

does anyone have migrate a Hyper-v DC with VM conterver tool to ESXi?
I know that there was not a good idea 10 jears ago (with 2003 or 2008 systems), but how's that today?

Is it still better to go the long way with a clean new installation and migrating the old DC?

thanks for your opinions

Ciao

A couple of years ago I migrated a Hyper-V cluster to Vmware vSAN consisting of a 100's of virtual servers. The only one I didn't migrate with the Vmware converter was the virtual domain controller.
We installed a new DC and migrated all roles
There was also a physical DC in the infrastructure which remained like this (with a Hyper-V cluster it was recommended to have a physical DC)
So from my experience I recommend creating a new one.

I still say absolutely not.  Honestly, it's much easier to build a new DC, promote it into the forest, transfer the FSMO roles, then demote the old one.  This wouldn't cause any outage and is clean.

The "old adage" of always building new, never clone or restore from backup a ADDC still stands.
