Just so you know, it is against the VMTN usage guidelines for users to share unofficial copies of software.

Because running on XP is needed!!!
What can't be understood ???
Why just can't have a few older versions available there ??? Such a problem for your business? Probably yes ![]()

Yes - it would be really useful to get v5.5 so I could get some old software from my XP laptop working before it dies...
If only there was a way...
Is there a way to contact @engedib ??

@pombos
Did you not see that the link was removed by a moderator as it’s against the VMTN terms of use?

Good night friend,
Could you make it available for download via the cloud, thank you.

If you read this post you should have noticed that VMware does not want to post an official link, Period.
So use a Linux VM, google for the file - download it - check it with virustotal.com and get your import done.
Or make sure you become a VIP VMware customer and bribe your official contact.

Hi AJ, well it has been 4 months passed so far and no alternative solution has been provided....
So I would like to mark your post "unhelpful" ![]()

The more folks starts whining about removed downloads the greater the chances that VMware Inc. sends out their lawyer fleet to remove the still existing download links.
@engedib
I would mark your post as unhelpful - keep in mind that the VMware employees that post here are volunteers like I am.
Download from google - check for malware and call it a day.

VMware have stated they will release a new version, when it's ready it's ready I guess.
Til then, look at offerings from Starwind and Veeam (there may be others)
