Hi everyone,
I have a VM which is in HP storage, i need to move it to NetApp storage.(Both the storage's are in same vcenter)
If i remove the VM from inventory and then copy it to the NetApp storage and
add it to the inventory will it work for me.
or Will i need to do storage vMotion(will it work for different vendor storages)
or shud i use vMware converter?
confused here?

Both ways I have tried earlier and both worked for me and I believe it will work for you as well. Storage vMotion would be preferable.
You can create a sample dummy vm (mem 10 MB, and cpu 1vCPU) and test this as well

Both should work. If you will remove the vm from inventory and add it back to inventory (this requires downtime) However in storage vmotion no downtime is needed.

SVmotion will be the best choice and it will work.
