vCenter-alerts related question
I am looking to suppress few alerts for few objects/operations
currently when I am trying to disable alert it is disabling globally

can you be more descriptive like what kind of alert your want to suspend and what is your reason for it
for example: see this thread, I hope this will help you what level of information I am expecting from you
Datastore usage on disk alert needs to be filtered

sorry, let me give you my use case
I am trying to suspend alerts if a VM settings [vCPU/Memory/IPs/DNS] got changed by one of the service user called 'XYZ'
Note: If VM settings got changed by any other normal/regular user we need to see/get alerts

As per your request it looks like those are events and tasks not alerts
How can you get those event/tasks as alerts, I am not sure, sorry
May be some of our community members can advise you
