Using RVTools to understand key performance for ESXi

I've got the RVTools .xls output for my VMWare environment. Now I actually want to use the data to tell me how the VMWare installation is performing, how do I use RVTools data to tell me if the VMWare ESXi installation is reaching full capacity in terms of CPU, Memory and Disk Space. I've got the guide https://robware.net/download/RVTools.pdf , has anyone got a document that describes how to actually get the data from RVTools to provide a meaningful report.

RVTools is made to get an overview of the environment at the time it is run. It's not meant as a monitoring tool.
However, depending on your needs, you could run from as a scheduled job, and use additional tools, or scripts to evaluate/aggregate the output.

I understand that it is a snapshot at a certain point in time. Apart from vHealth (which for my organisation shows a lot of Zombies and VMware Tools out of date - which will get cleaned up), I'm struggling to see the benefit of the RVTools output and what it can actually tell me about my VMWare environment. For example, vCPU shows that I have a total of 2,562 CPUs and 14 TB Memory - is this good or bad? what are the maximum limits for vSphere 6.7?

RVtools is more for capacity and getting  a general overiew. We often use it for calculating ressources like disk usage.

 

If you need something for performance than take a look to vRealize Operations Manager.
