AppVolume This action is not allowed for application 'NameOfApp'
Hi,
I have AppVolumes 4.7 and I have recorded a simple application.
It does not matter what I record.
Once I log into my Horizon 2206 environment I always get the message This action is not allowed for application 'NameOfApp'
The strange thing is that the App it is mentioning is an Word AddIn which has nothing to do with the app I packaged.
When I start Word the Addin is there and works.
The recording machine is fresh and has no Office installed. It it just a plain 21H2 Win10 installation.
I already tried to set the AllowInstallerModification Value to 1 on my VDI machines from articel.
https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-App-Volumes/2206/app-volumes-admin-guide/GUID-E68518CC-D5F2-4499-8...
This also doesnt help.
I have alsp CarbonBlack in Place and moved the test VDIs to a monitor only group.
I have also set the CarbonBlack exclusions in the snapvol.cfg on the golden Master.
Nothing seems to help.
Any idea how to figure out whats going on.
It does not matter what I package, even if I package Notepad++ or putty this happens.
Only if no AppStack is attached I do not get the messages.
Any advice?
Many thanks

HEllo, we are seeing the same problem but with Cisco Webex Meetings
" App Volumes This action is not allowed for application 'Cisco Webex Meetings' Please contact your administrator."
Webex is installed on the image and not delivered through AppVOlumes
Can you elaborate what you did to fix yours?

Hi
Just set "AllowInstallerModification" to "1" and no need to reboot.
