Are the timestamps current? If not, I would move all of the vmsn files to a temporary location, say /tmp, and then restart the vm. If the vm starts ok, which it should, then you can just delete the files manually.
Move the files from the service console, and then rm them if they are not in use. They may be left over from a previous snapshot.
