vSphere replication remote site setting problem
Hi!
Have you ever seen this type error message in WEB Client? (I’ve attached the .png file)
I’m trying set vSphere replication remote site, but this error message comes up every time.
I've set properly the replication traffic for vnic. But it seems, some bug in the code?!
I’m using:
Appliance Name: vSphere Replication Appliance
Appliance Version: 5.1.0.1 Build 885064
vSphere Web Client: Version 5.1.0 Build 869765
Client Integration Plug-in: VMRC version 5.1.0 Build 826423
Client Support version 5.1.0 Build 826425
Browser: Chrome Version 24.0.1312.56
Flash Player: WIN 11,5,31,137
I’ve tried it with different browser IE, Chrome, Firefox, but same behavior.
Please help me!
Peter

Hi,
Do you provide login details for the remote VC in the dialog mentioned? Do you enter the VC address by IP or FQDN?

Hi!
Thanks for your quick answer.
I’ve used the remote VC’s IP address and VC’s credentials (user, password).
Sincerely,
Peter

Hi,
From the message I see the " symbol has been used in the ip/domain field.
Could you provide the string you are using?
Regards,

Hi!
It was a pure IP address in 192.168.x.x format.
Nothing special, only numbers with dots.
I don't know what type of symbol “the add remote site” form expect?
Regards,
Peter

Could you please try to connect sites by providing FQDN of the remote VC? Other thing that I can suggest is to open SR and provide logs. Thank you.
